Culture Coach Travels to Montreal for Opera Openings

PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Office of Institutional Advancement at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh announces the second season of the Culture Coach to Montreal.

This is a special opportunity for members of the community to sign up for five trips to five opening-night (Saturday) performances by the Opera de Montreal: Norma (Sept. 17), L'Etoile (Nov. 5), Oedipus rex/Symphony of Psalms (Feb. 4, 2006), La Clemenza di Tito (March 11, 2006) and Aida (May 20, 2006).

The Culture Coach will leave from the Hawkins Hall Parking Lot at 5:30 p.m. on the day of each performance and drop participants off in front of Place des Arts in Montreal. The return trip will depart from the Place des Arts after the performance and return to Plattsburgh by approximately midnight.

Reservations for the Culture Coach must be made for all five trips to Montréal.  Unfortunately, exceptions cannot be accommodated.  Reservations for individuals for all five round trips on the coach are $75. You may also purchase a light supper package on the coach for all five trips for $50.

You may purchase Opera tickets through the Office of Institutional Advancement in order to receive preferred seating. There are four levels of ticket pricing available (price includes all five performances): $192; $298; $400 and $502 (CAN). If you make your own arrangements, please mention that you are part of the SUNY Plattsburgh Culture Coach.
