Cron Lecture Series Looks at Awakenings and Counter-Awakenings April 5
The spring 2017 Cron Lecture, “Awakenings and Counter-Awakenings: How Do We Know Which is Which?,” will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5 at the Newman Center, 90 Broad St., Plattsburgh.
Diana Butler Bass, an author, speaker and scholar specializing in American religion and culture, will discuss what is awakening and counter-awakening and how to tell them apart.
The Cron Lecture Series, sponsored by the Plattsburgh Protestant Campus Ministry and its supporting congregations, was founded by the Rev. Karl Cron in 1997 and has brought nationally renowned scholars to campus for guest lectures, class sessions and other studies on topics of religion and culture. The lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Dr. Richard Schaefer, program coordinator, 518-564-5211 or email [email protected].
