Coolidge Named SUNYAC Baseball Player of Week
FREDONIA, N.Y. (March 9, 2010) - The State University of New York Athletic Conference has made SUNY Plattsburgh's Donny Coolidge the first player of the week for the 2010 baseball season, for the period ending Sunday.
A third baseman from Plattsburgh High School, Coolidge led the Cardinals offense during a 4-1 season-opening trip to The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The junior batted .429, had a .719 slugging percentage with 15 total bases and got on base 47.8 percent of the time. Has a five-game hit streak, including a pair of three-hit games. He went 3-for-4, including two doubles and a triple, with three runs batted in a 9-4 victory Saturday against Penn St.-Berks, then the next game drove in three runs on three hits in an 8-6 win versus Manchester.
