Conference Addresses Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (April 14, 2010) -- The Alzheimer’s Disease Assistance Center will host the Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Thursday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Angell College Center, SUNY Plattsburgh.
The conference, in its 16th year, is intended for medical professionals, health care
professionals, paraprofessionals, caregivers and students. Topics include early on-set
Alzheimer’s disease; Alzheimer’s Disease 2010: Compassionate Multimodal Evaluation
and Treatment of Alzheimer’s and Dementia; Aging Veterans Re-living Trauma; and Senior
Fitness: An Introduction to Basic Strengthening Exercises. A panel presentation will
address “Geriatric Mental Health Across the Continuum of Care.”
The cost for the conference is $50 for professionals; $40 for three or more from the
same organization attending; $40 for caregivers and students. To register, call Kate
