Community Welcome to Vote for Favorite Archives Essay
Special Collections at SUNY Plattsburgh is inviting community members to vote for their favorite essays in the “I Found It in the Archives” contest.
Special Collections preserves historical materials from the North Country — including letters, diaries, maps, photographs, films and oral histories — and makes them available for researchers on campus and in the community. Three of those researchers who made important discoveries in the archives are now finalists in this essay contest.
The local winner will be automatically entered into the national contest, hosted by the Society of American Archivists in San Diego next August.
Voting will close Feb. 22.
For more information, contact Debra Kimok, Special Collections librarian, at 518-564-5206 or [email protected].
