College Council to Meet Sept. 17
The SUNY Plattsburgh College Council will hold its next regular meeting Monday, Sept. 17 in the Thomas and Marie Hermes Conference Room, Au Sable Hall, beginning at 1 p.m.
In addition to regular reports by President John Ettling, Council Chair Martin Mannix, Student Association President Jessica Falace and committee chairs, the council will entertain approving resolutions to name the Honors Seminar Room B the “David N. Mowry Seminar Room,” honoring the now-retired and long-time director of the Honors Program, and Room 004 Macomb Hall the “Kyla J. Relaford Room,” honoring the late director of the Educational Opportunity Program, who died suddenly in April at the age of 37. The program is housed in the newly renovated building.
In addition, a presentation will be made on the upcoming presidential search.
The college council meetings are open to the public. The next meeting will be held Monday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. in the Hermes Conference Room.
