College Council to Meet at Branch Campus in Queensbury
The SUNY Plattsburgh College Council will hold its regular September meeting at the college’s Branch Campus at Queensbury, allowing members to tour the facilities and meet the college’s newest dean, Dr. Stephen Danna.
The meeting will convene at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Forum, Room 128 of the J. Buckley Bryan Jr. Regional Higher Education Center, SUNY Adirondack, 640 Bay Road, Queensbury, N.Y.
During the meeting, Brian Durant, vice president for academic and student affairs at SUNY Adirondack, will present, as will Danna, who was just installed as dean of the SUNY Plattsburgh branch campus. Jeanarea Willis, a graduate student, will also speak, giving a student’s perspective on that campus.
The meeting will include reports on academic, business and student affairs; facilities and capital planning; institutional advancement; and community and government relations.
It will be followed by an open house and a reception to welcome Danna as dean from 5 to 6:30 p.m. also in the Regional Higher Education Center. The meeting, reception and open house are all open to the public.
