College Council to Meet April 14


PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (April 4, 2008) - The College Council at SUNY Plattsburgh will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, April 14, at 1 p.m. in the Videoconferencing Room 416, Sibley Hall, located on the college campus.

Discussion topics will include reports on the relatively new Center for Teaching Excellence which offers a variety of services designed to assist faculty in their development as teachers and on the college's new food service provider. There will also be reports from major divisions of the college, including those on Academic Affairs, the budget, Institutional Advancement, Student Affairs, Buildings and Grounds and Legislative Relations.

The council will also hear updates on the state budget, the provost search and the capital campaign.

In addition, it will consider commendations for the Women's Ice Hockey Team, its coach and its player of the year, as well as the Men's Ice Hockey Team and Men's Basketball Team, its coach and its player of the year.

The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome. Parking is available in the lot at the rear of the building, which is accessible via George Angell Drive off of Rugar Street.
