College Chorale and Cardinal Singers Perform 'Chichester Psalms' for ChoralFest 2015
The SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Music presents its annual ChoralFest concert 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26 in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
The College Chorale and Cardinal Singers, under the direction of Jo Ellen Miano, associate professor of music, will perform Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms,” a statement on the yearning for peace and unity in the world. It will be performed with orchestra, including a full brass section, strings and harp, as well as timpani and 14 percussion instruments.
In addition, the concert features 8th-grade student Cole Denten from Beekmantown Central School as soloist.
Several short a cappella pieces will also be performed. Tickets, available at the Angell College Center desk and the door, are $9 for general admission, $6 faculty, staff, seniors and non-SUNY Plattsburgh students, and $3 for SUNY Plattsburgh student with ID.
