Champlain Valley Voices Performs Spring Concert April 30
Champlain Valley Voices will present its spring concert, “Musica Delle Donne,” Sunday, April 30 at 3 p.m. at the Plattsburgh United Methodist Church, 127 Beekman St.
The concert will showcase a sampling of music by women composers from the 1840s to present-day Broadway. The program will also include the premier of “Metta-Maitri,” a piece commissioned by Champlain Valley Voices and composed by local composer Sora Jederan-Shpack. Jun Matsuo, pianist and adjunct lecturer, and soprano Jo Ellen Miano, associate professor of music, will also perform.
Tickets are available in advance from chorus members, the Corner-Stone Bookshop, and the Party Factory and are $15 general admission and $10 seniors. Tickets at the door are $17 general admission and $12 seniors. Students with ID and children under 12 are $5.
