Chamber Ensembles to Perform in April 27 Concert
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (April 14, 2010) –- The SUNY Plattsburgh Music Department will present a concert featuring six of the department’s chamber ensembles Tuesday, April 27, 7:30 p.m., in Krinovitz Recital Hall, Hawkins Hall, located on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
The audience will hear a varied selection of pieces performed by the Flute Ensemble, Clarinet Choir, Saxophone Quartet, Brass Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Bass Ensemble.
Both student and community musicians play in the ensembles, directed by music faculty members Robin Cameron-Phillips (flute), Janine Scherline (clarinet), Daniel Gordon (saxophone), Herm Matlock (brass), Ellen Powell (bass), and Gabe Jarrett (percussion).
