Ceremony to Honor Kent State and Jackson State Students May 3
SUNY Plattsburgh’s Student Association will sponsor its 42nd annual Kent State and Jackson State Commemorative Ceremony Thursday, May 3, at 12:30 p.m., at the memorial plaque in front of the Kehoe Administration Building.
The memorial was established to remind everyone of the tragic events that took place at Kent State University in Ohio where four students were killed May 4, 1970, and at Jackson State University in Mississippi where two students were killed 10 days later. SUNY Plattsburgh has continued to memorialize this event each year.
The public is welcome.
For more information, call the Student Association office at 518-564-3200.
