Cardinal Points Earns First Place in New York Press Association Contest
Cardinal Points, SUNY Plattsburgh’s student newspaper, has been awarded first place in General Excellence in the collegiate division of the New York Press Association 2011 Better Newspaper Contest.
Finishing second was The Perspective of Medaille College and third was The Cornell Daily Sun of Cornell University.
Cardinal Points also received first place in Best Sports Coverage, second in Design, and third in Column Writing for work done by Kristofer Fiore.
The awards were announced at the NYPA Spring Convention in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on March 30-31.
