Cardinal Athletics Staff Changes
Plattsburgh State Athletics Director Bruce Delventhal Wednesday announced that sports information director Patrick Stewart has resigned to accept the position of director of communications at the Eastern College Athletic Conference based in Centerville, Mass. Stewart starts Feb. 1 at the ECAC.
During Stewart's five-year tenure at Plattsburgh, the Cardinals sports information office produced nine "Best in the Nation" certificates for publication excellence -- the most in the entire SUNY system -- from the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America and launched the department's state-of-the-art website "GoCardinalSports.com" in April.
Current assistant SID Stephanie Dutton will be assuming the role of interim sports information director for the remainder of the academic year.
