Capital District Alumni Club Hosted College Foundation Golf Invitational
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Alumni Association and the Capital District Alumni Club of
the State University of New York at Plattsburgh recently hosted the annual Plattsburgh
College Foundation Golf Invitational and Alumni Dinner at the Van Patten Golf Club
in Clifton Park, N.Y.
The event was organized to raise funds for the Capital District Student Scholarship Endowment, which supports students from the district who are or will be attending SUNY Plattsburgh.
The members of the tournament's winning team were Paul Lamond '89, John Brand, Gregg Roth and Kelly Borden. In second place were Dan Burke '74, Tom Mele '74, Tom Noonan '74 and Dan O'Rourke. In third place were Rose Anderson '95 (director of Alumni Affairs), Stephen Sabine '71, Peter Ensel '80 (chair of communication studies) and Michael Baratto '66. In fourth place were Robert Schofield '93, Paul Berry '86, Lance Johnson '92 and Jay Kesslen '95.
The golf tournament was followed by the Alumni Dinner where SUNY Plattsburgh President John Ettling thanked the supporters of the endowment on the College's behalf. The dinner also provided the opportunity for golfers and non-golfers to gather with former Plattsburgh State classmates and renew college acquaintances.
