Brittany Marshall Named SUNYAC Player of the Week
Brittany Marshall has been named the women’s basketball State University of New York Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 1.
Marshall averaged 19 points in two games for Plattsburgh at the Big Easy Challenge in New Orleans during the holiday week. Marshall is the second Cardinal to earn SUNYAC women’s basketball player of the week this season as Kathleen Payne won the award at the end of the first semester. Marshall contributed 17 points and eight steals in a 75-56 win against Geneva in the first game of the Challenge and followed up by leading all scorers with a 21-point performance in a 67-57 loss to Keene State. The freshman out of Malone, N.Y., shot 61.5 percent and added seven assists in the two games.
Plattsburgh returns to action Tuesday, Jan. 10, when it hosts conference foe Oneonta State at 6 p.m.
