Bouyea, Gooch Named to SUNYAC All-Tournament Team
CORTLAND, N.Y. (May 9, 2010) -- SUNY Plattsburgh baseball players Tory Bouyea and Andrew Gooch were chosen Sunday to the State University of New York Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team, according to voting by sports information directors from the championship's four participating schools including Plattsburgh, Brockport, Oneonta and Cortland.
Gooch, a senior outfielder out of Pearland, Texas, led the tournament with six hits,
including his first home run of the season on Saturday, and batted .600 with a Cardinals-leading
four runs batted in two games. He also was named to last season's tournament.
A junior shortstop from Plattsburgh High School, Bouyea hit .500 with two doubles
and scored three runs. He also became the 10th Cardinal to reach the 100-hit milestone
on Saturday and now has 102 for his two-year career at Plattsburgh.
Tournament MVP Nathan Parrino of conference champion Brockport headed the 10-player
squad.
