Book Nook Presents Monthly Book Readings
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Book Nook in the College Store at the State University of New
York College at Plattsburgh presents a monthly book reading during the spring semester.
Each month, a book will be chosen by a faculty member who will give a short synopsis and read excerpts from the work. The first book reading will be on Wednesday, Feb. 2 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Book Nook.
Dr. Elaine Ostry, assistant professor of English, will give her review of the book, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time," by Mark Haddon. This is a story about a child with a behavioral problem who relates well to animals but has no understanding of human emotions. He cannot tolerate to be touched and has a particular hatred of the color yellow.
