Basketball Fundraiser to Be Held at The Barracks Golf Course
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (July 19, 2010)-- Cardinal Classic golf tournament director Tom Curle has announced that the 23rd annual event will be played at The Barracks Golf Course on Wednesday, Aug. 4, beginning with an 11 a.m. shot-gun start. In past years, the Cardinal Golf Classic had been hosted by Bluff Point Golf Resort and Community.
The Classic is a fundraiser for SUNY Plattsburgh's men's and women's basketball programs. Four different packages are available: Buffet Dinner and Ceremony ($35), Tournament ($90-$100), Sponsorship ($150) and Business ($525). The registration deadline is July 30.
The format is a four-person scramble and there will be men's, women's and co-ed divisions. Prizes will be awarded for low-net and low-gross scores, longest drive and closest to the pin.
Following the Classic at approximately 5:30 p.m., there will be a cocktail hour and all-you-care-to-eat-buffet at the Valcour Educational Conference Center Boathouse on Route 9 South.
