Author Presentation at the Book Nook Feb. 16
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Book Nook in the College Store (Saranac Hall, Rugar Street)
at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh will host a book signing
featuring Deborah Ribis, RN, CNLPN, on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 12 to 1 p.m. Ribis will
be presenting her new book, Get Back on Your Feet: What Every Injured and Ill Person Needs to Know
.
Ribis has been a Registered Nurse for 23 years. Her vast experience has included working in trauma, intensive care, utilization management (helping different agencies pool their resources for patient benefit), medical care evaluation and medical case management. She has an intimate working knowledge of the workers' compensation, third party liability, managed care and indemnity health care systems.
In her role as a Nationally Certified Nurse Life Care Planner, Ribis has assessed the injured or ill individual as a whole, interpreted information received from the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, legal team, case management and insurance carrier and completed a Life Care Plan, which is used to identify and project lifetime medical, vocational and personal care needs and costs for the individual.
