Ashley Marshall Named ECAC Division III Upstate All-Star
Ashley Marshall of the Plattsburgh State softball team has been named an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Upstate All-Star for the second straight season.
The sophomore pitcher from Malone, N.Y. joined seven other State University of New
York Athletic Conference softball players on this year’s All-Star team. Marshall posted
an 18-6 record in the circle with a 1.07 earned-run average. Marshall tossed 21 complete
games, including a single-season record 11 shutouts. She also earned six saves on
the year.
Marshall led the SUNYAC in 2010 with 238 strikeouts in 164 innings of work, while
opponents hit a league-low .169 against her. She was also eighth in the country with
an average of 10.2 strikeouts per seven innings.
