PLATTSBURGH, NY __ Arnold Amell has been re-appointed by Governor George Pataki to the College Council at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh.

Amell, who serves as vice chair of the council, was initially appointed in May 1989 to fill an unexpired term and was subsequently re-appointed in 1992 and 1999. His re-appointment is for a seven-year term to expire June 30, 2013.

"I am thoroughly enjoying working with Mr. Amell and am pleased he has been re-appointed to the council," said SUNY Plattsburgh President John Ettling.

In addition to his service on the council, Amell served as a member of the Plattsburgh State Alumni Association Board of Directors for 37 years.
