APA Executive Director to Speak at Plattsburgh State Nov. 13
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ Daniel T. Fitts, the executive director of The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) and a graduate of Plattsburgh State University of New York, will speak about "The Adirondack Park Agency and Recreation in the Adirondacks," on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hyman and Frances Krinovitz Recital Hall of Hawkins Hall.
Fitts is the second speaker in this year's Adventure Lecture Series, which is sponsored by The Adirondack Experience at Plattsburgh State. The event is also made possible by additional funding from College Auxiliary Services and The Adirondack 46R Conservation Trust.
Fitts, a 1976 alumnus of Plattsburgh State, was named executive director of the APA in 1995. His experience ranges across 23 years of service to the State of New York, including a seven-year stint as legislative aide and legislative director with retired New York State Senator Ronald Stafford prior to joining the APA staff in 1987.
Fitts also holds a master's degree in environmental science from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse. A native of Rouses Point, Fitts currently resides in Lake Placid.
