Annual Service Remembering 9/11 Terrorist Attacks to be Held at Hawkins Pond
The annual SUNY Plattsburgh 9/11 memorial service will be held on the Hudson Hall side of Hawkins Pond Monday, Sept. 11 beginning at noon.
The ceremony, coordinated by the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society, will feature the Plattsburgh circle’s president, William Hodge, and Student Association President Vrinda Kumar as guest speakers. The Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir will perform.
In addition to honoring the nearly 3,000 who perished as the result of the attacks on the twin towers in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and the plane crash in Pennsylvania, the SUNY Plattsburgh service also honors Robert Sutcliffe ’84 and William Erwin ’92, both of whom worked in the World Trade Center.
The ceremony is open to the public. For more information, contact Larry Allen, director of student conduct, at 518-564-3282.
