Alumni Speaker Series Opens with Branding, Marketing Expert Jeanine Debar '88


The president and co-founder of the marketing and branding agency, BrandTuitive, will share “Starting and Running a Successful Business” as she takes the podium as the first alumna in this year’s Alumni Speaker Series.

Jeanine Debar, a member of the Class of 1988, will share her insights Monday, Sept. 5 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Hermes Conference Room, 114 Au Sable Hall. Topics will include: 

What it takes to set up a business the right way from the start for long-term success

Dealing with the unexpected but inevitable hurdles

Developing a culture in which everyone will want to work

Creating the right energy for positive growth

“I’m very excited to come back to Plattsburgh to share what I’ve learned since graduation, and I’m committed to having every student I meet feel as though they got value from my presentation,” Debar said.

The president of the SUNY Plattsburgh American Marketing Association Chapter/Marketing Club her senior year at Plattsburgh when the chapter was chosen to host the regional AMA conference for the first time, Debar has experience on both agency and client sides of the fence. She’s held positions in sales, marketing, and management. In addition, she founded and ran a small retail operation for five years.
