Teach-Out Transfer Graduate Programs

Program-specific pathways have been developed for clinical mental health counseling M.S.; school building leader C.A.S., school district leader certificate; speech language pathology M.A,; school psychology M.A./C.A.S. and social work M.S. These pathways will ensure a seamless transition into SUNY Plattsburgh equivalent programs.

Transfer Program Options

Additional College of Saint Rose programs may transition well to SUNY Plattsburgh with an individualized plan. The following programs may be a good fit:

Admissions Process

Saint Rose graduate students can apply using the SUNY Plattsburgh Graduate Admissions Application.

Transcripts: Request transcripts be sent to SUNY Plattsburgh from the Saint Rose registrar’s office. Saint Rose transcripts plus undergraduate transcripts from any prior institution are required.

Letters of Recommendation: A letter of support from the Saint Rose graduate program coordinator is required for admission to clinical mental health counseling, school psychology, and speech language pathology. The school building leader program requires a letter from your principal. The school district leader program requires a letter from your superintendent.

Other: The SBL and SDL programs require you to take a screenshot of your TEACH certifications and upload to our admissions portal. The speech language pathology program requires a screenshot of your clinical hours from Calipso.

Application Fee Waived

When you answer “Yes” to “Are you a graduate student at the College of Saint Rose applying for transfer due to the closure of Saint Rose at the end of the 2023-24 academic year?” your $75 application fee will be waived automatically.

Tuition & Fees

SUNY Plattsburgh’s N.Y.S. resident tuition rate for graduate students is $5,655 per semester (full-time) or $471 per credit hour (part-time).

Saint Rose students will either continue paying the same tuition they paid at Saint Rose or SUNY Plattsburgh tuition (whichever is lower) for the duration of enrollment. Learn more about SUNY Plattsburgh tuition and fees.

SUNY Plattsburgh will review and assess all bona fide financial aid offers, scholarships or other financial aid packages previously awarded or committed to Saint Rose Students by Saint Rose in order to determine whether SUNY Plattsburgh can honor such awards.

As a Transfer Partner for the College of Saint Rose, we are dedicated to providing you with a seamless transfer and a pathway to complete your degree without interruption. We want to help you see yourself as a Cardinal with the following:

Waiver of Fees — We will waive the $75 graduate application fee and $250 enrollment deposit
Keep Your Credits — SUNY Plattsburgh will accept all credits previously earned by Saint Rose students to the extent permitted by applicable law
Low Tuition — Saint Rose students will either continue paying the same tuition they paid at Saint Rose or SUNY Plattsburgh tuition (whichever is lower) for the duration of enrollment
