Plattsburgh will prepare you to succeed in tomorrow’s schools. Get hands-on experience working in classrooms starting in your first or second year.
English: Language Arts Major
Learn to teach English at the high school level. Our program meets all the New York State subject area requirements for English 7–12 certification after completion of an M.S.T.
English: Literature Major
If you love to read, love language and narratives in all forms, we'll prepare you for careers in fields that require exceptional reading, writing, and interpretive skills.
Entrepreneurship Major
Develop leadership skills that prepare you to start your own business or become a project manager in a variety of businesses.
Environmental Geoscience Major
This program is ideal for preparing you to enter the job market in geological/environmental consulting. It is also excellent for double majoring in environmental science.
Environmental Planning & Management Major
