    • CMM232 — Basic Audio Production (gain hands-on experience as a working member of a TV station (this course may be taken up to three times)

Here at PSTV, it is the students who create the shows that are broadcasted. They do everything from producing to directing, acting to writing, and editing to camera operation. Every department and crew position that exists at other TV stations exist at PSTV. Plattsburgh State Television also prides itself in exclusively evolving throughout the years to introduce new positions that help students in their advancement in the television experience.

PSTV offers a number of different management positions. Some of these positions include show producers, head of departments such as audio, lighting and editing, as well as social media and underwriting. In order to get involved with the management team you must have taken CMM233, CMM288, and ENG101 as well as have junior standing.

All of the talent involved with this station are students that attend SUNY Plattsburgh. There is no experience needed to try out for any of our shows. Show auditions consist of varying areas of interest i.e., comedy, pop culture, news, sports, etc. Talent auditions are held at the beginning of each semester. The opportunities are endless and all majors are welcome to become a part of the PSTV family.
