Successful completion of the course will certify participants in American Red Cross adult/child/infant CPR/AED. Any community or SUNY Plattsburgh group that would like to arrange CPR/First Aid/AED training for their members, contact Karen Waterbury.

Non-Credit CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor Course
This training opportunity is for SUNY Plattsburgh students who meet following qualifications and plan to work as instructors for the Recreational Sports CPR program as lab instructors and non-credit CPR course instructors. See Karen Waterbury for further information. One or two students are accepted each semester for training.
Red Cross CPR Certification Renewal
Available to SUNY Plattsburgh students, faculty and staff with current certification. Only available during fall and spring semesters.
American Red Cross CPR and first aid cards are issued for two years. Even though certification will be for two years, lifeguards must renew every year. All others should check hiring agency for how often they will be required to renew their CPR/AED certification.
All students who need to renew their CPR should review the following material and skill sequences for appropriate CPR level before coming to lab for testing.
- Stop into Memorial 302 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and talk with Beth
- Show your current certification
- Cost — $40 for Basic CPR/AED renewal and $50 for CPR for Professional Rescuers renewal
- You will schedule a time with an instructor to review skills and get tested
