A unique partnership between the SUNY Plattsburgh Teacher Education Unit and the Plattsburgh City School District.
The unique structure of Project CONNECT allows for the program to be staffed not only with qualified Site Directors and Group Teachers, but also with SUNY Plattsburgh Teacher Candidates. Teacher Candidates plan and implement a wide variety of programming under the supervision of SUNY Plattsburgh faculty and Site Directors. Teacher Candidates working independently with participating children complete background checks and fingerprinting required by Project CONNECT’s licensing agency, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).
