Assistant Professor
Before accepting my current position, I was a clinical assistant professor in kinesiology
programs for six years at Washington State University where I oversaw the strength
and conditioning minor program; only minor recognized by the National Strength and
Conditioning Association (NSCA) in Washington state. My research interests in the
field of sport and wellness are twofold: 1) enhancing performance through mechanical
ergogenic aids like free weight and nutritional ergogenic aids like dietary supplements
and 2) enhancing performance through body/self connection. My graduate work was completed
at the University of Idaho and my additional responsibilities included implementing
fitness programs including group exercise and personal training. In the area of group
fitness, I hold eight different certification formats and continue to instruct group
fitness classes and personal train diverse group of clients.
