Assistant Professor of Sport & Wellness
Before accepting my current position, I was a clinical assistant professor in kinesiology programs for six years at Washington State University where I oversaw the strength and conditioning minor program; only minor recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in Washington state. My research interests in the field of sport and wellness are twofold: 1) enhancing performance through mechanical ergogenic aids like free weight and nutritional ergogenic aids like dietary supplements and 2) enhancing performance through body/self connection. My graduate work was completed at the University of Idaho and my additional responsibilities included implementing fitness programs including group exercise and personal training. In the area of group fitness, I hold eight different certification formats and continue to instruct group fitness classes and personal train diverse group of clients.
