Karen Dague


Karen Dague, MSW, LCSW-R

Interim Director of Field Education Lecturer of Social Work

Karen Dague is a licensed clinical social worker with an R-level certification. Karen has over 30 years’ experience working in the social work field in a variety of capacities including direct care, case management and administration. She has worked in local as well as state agencies and currently maintains a private counseling practice in the City of Plattsburgh specializing in ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety and depression.

Karen earned both a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in education and master’s degree in social work with a concentration in administration from the University at Albany. In addition, she has completed post-graduate coursework in educational psychology.

As a professional, Karen has extensive experience working with a variety of special populations and problem areas including: spectrum disorders, disabilities, mental health, and domestic violence. She has made presentations to national organizations on co-occurring disorders and was awarded federal and state grants to fund innovative programs for individuals with disabilities and child witnesses to domestic violence.
