Will Roth
Adjunct Instructor of Expeditionary Studies
Will graduated from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree
in outdoor recreation. Besides Plattsburgh, he works as an adjunct for North Country
Community Colleges Wilderness Recreation Leadership program and a local climbing guide
service. He holds a Single Pitch Instructor certification from the AMGA and is actively
pursuing more advanced level AMGA certifications, most recently completing the Rock
Guide Course. He is also a Wilderness First Responder and has AIARE Level II avalanche
training. Besides climbing locally as much as possible, he has traveled all over the
U.S. and internationally to pursue his climbing passion. In his spare time he volunteers
for the DEC’s Technical Rescue Team and searches out new rock and ice routes on the
local cliffs.
