Dr. Shaoqiong Zhao
Assistant Professor of Marketing & Entrepreneurship
Dr. Shaoqiong (Annie) Zhao will join the School of Business & Economics in Fall 2020. Dr. Zhao earned her Ph.D. in Marketing from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She also holds a Master of Marketing in Marketing from UW-Milwaukee.
While pursuing her master’s degree, she spent a summer interning with A.O. Smith Inc. as a market research analyst. She continued to pursue her doctorate degree and, ultimately, a career in higher education.
Dr. Zhao’s research focuses on consumer behavior, E-commerce and business analytics. She was a member of Decision Science Institutes since 2016 and presented multiple times in DSI annual meetings. Her most recent presentation was at Informs 2019 Annual Meeting, “How Consumers Evaluate a New Fashion Product Through Online Review Platform.
Dr. Zhao is very experienced in teaching undergraduate and MBA marketing courses and statistical courses.
