Visiting Lecturer of Marketing
Douglas Roy began teaching marketing at the School of Business and Economics, fall 2019.
Prior to teaching, Mr. Roy’s career was spent at large manufacturing concerns such as Overhead Door Corporation, Siemens AG, and Newport Steel. His more recent and predominate experience was at Boeing Defense, Space & Security in Saint Louis, Missouri. As part of a management-training program, he rotated through diverse functional areas such as scheduling, estimating and accounting before taking a position in contract management. There, he led multi-organizational project teams in pursuit of United States and foreign defense acquisitions. He left Boeing to pursue his doctorate and, ultimately, a career in higher education.
