Dr. Jaroslaw “Jarek” Strzalkowski

Originally from Poland, Jarek Strzalkowski joined SUNY Plattsburgh in the fall of 2019 after earning his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Minnesota. In his research, he specializes in international macroeconomics and finance. Before earning his Ph.D., he graduated from Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Poland and worked for 3 years as an economist at Morgan Stanley in London. Besides economics, Jarek is a great fan of skiing, hiking, and mountaineering.
