I am excited that you are interested in the School of Business and Economics at SUNY Plattsburgh (SBE). We aspire to be the premier provider of innovative and global business education, recognized for teaching excellence. We are very proud of our SBE and all that we have to offer. We have eleven undergraduate programs in different fields of business, two certificate programs, and over eleven SBE minors that you may choose from. We also offer a Master of Science in Data Analytics for those interested in pursuing a graduate degree.
Our business programs are accredited by the International Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). External accreditation serves as a testimony to the quality of our programs and places our SBE in the top 5% of schools worldwide. Our courses are taught by highly qualified full-time expert faculty, not by teaching or graduate assistants.
The SBE is not only known for our top-notch programs and strong academics, but also for what we offer outside the classroom. Students receive individualized academic advising, helping to assess their academic progress as well as assisting them in their personal and professional growth. We have a state-of-the-art building with modern accounting and management information systems computer labs, as well as a Center for Cybersecurity and Technology (CCT). Our Office of Internships and Career Opportunities works with students in finding placements for practical experiences, internships, and post-graduation employment. The John and Diana Conner’s Finance Trading Lab consists of four Bloomberg Terminals giving our students real time access to financial data and the opportunity to earn the prestigious Bloomberg certificate.
