ASSISTANT EVENTS MANAGER
Leah Sweeney is the assistant events manager on campus. She received her bachelor’s in theatre from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2015. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in student affairs and higher education from SUNY Plattsburgh.
After graduating, Leah became the technical supervisor at the Performing Arts Center for the University at Albany. When her current position at SUNY Plattsburgh became available, she jumped at the opportunity to come back to the community she loved and primarily learned the tools of the trade.
She has also participated in regional conferences where she created and directed the KCACTF 2018 Technical Olympics. Leah also participates in monthly trainings and developments with Landmark Worldwide to enhance her leadership skills and development.
Since her return to Plattsburgh, Leah has been involved in the community in various capacities; serving on the Board of Directors for the Plattsburgh Public Library, volunteering and participating in multiple community organized events. Leah’s creative passion lies in crafting, particularly cross-stitching and organizes community get-togethers centered around needle point. Leah lives in Plattsburgh with her dog, Gucci and cat Tiffany.
