Dr. Christopher Drennan


Adjunct Lecturer of Political Science

Dr. Christopher Drennan, a native of Montreal, Canada, moved to Europe at a young age and, over the years, has lived in a number of countries including England, France, and the United States. He received his Diplôme D’Études Collégiales from Collége Dawson, Montréal, Canada (1976), his Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Concordia University, Montréal, Canada (1980), his M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, England (1981), and his Ph.D from the University of Chicago (1988).

After a period of teaching Hegelian philosophy at the graduate level and political thought at the undergraduate level at the University of Nevada-Reno, he moved to the North Country and began teaching at North Country Community College in 1994. In 2005 he became a member of the faculty at Clinton Community College and has since taught various courses in history, political science and economics. He has been teaching at SUNY Plattsburgh since 2017.
