LITS 2018 Phishing Contest

Learn more about Phishing scams, possibly win a prize, and help our campus community be safer online!  It is as easy as forwarding an email...

October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month and to mark the occasion, Library and Information Technology Services invites you to participate in its inaugural Phishing Contest.  We expect this to be a fun way to bring attention to the prevalent, and possibly growing, threat of Phishing scams.

What Can I Win?

You mean other than our gratitude and a hardy, virtual pat on the back for being a stalwart Cyber Citizen?  We do have the following, tangible tokens of our appreciation:

  1. Grand Prize: a $50 College Store Gift Card
  2. First Runner Up Prize: a $25 College Store Gift Card
  3. Second Runner Up Prize: a $15 College Store Gift Card
How Do I Play?

    2. Open the phishing email you are going to submit.
    3. Next to "Reply", click the Down arrow (or, in some versions you may see a vertical line of three dots)
    4. Click Show original.
    5. Then Click Copy to clipboard
    6. Click Compose to open a new message window
    7. Address the message to [email protected]
