Fundamental Principles of Chemistry I – CHE111 Placement Examination


You have been directed to this page because you are a new student who has declared a major that requires Plattsburgh’s Fundamental Principles of Chemistry I - CHE111. Successful completion of this course requires at a minimum, a sound foundation in basic mathematics.

This placement examination will assess your ability to be directly enrolled in CHE111. Lack of success on the placement exam will result in your need to take the equivalent of CHE111 in a specially designed two-course sequence (CHE106/104). You are excused from completing this placement examination only if you have confirmed credit for the equivalent of Plattsburgh’s CHE111.
