Credit Card Policy

To create an official college policy regarding the prohibition on the marketing of credit cards on the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh campus.

Students, clubs, organizations, and credit card vendors.
Pursuant to New York State Education Law 6437 (Regulation by Colleges of Conduct on Campuses and Other College Property Used for Educational Purposes), the advertising, marketing, or merchandising of credit cards to students is prohibited on the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh property.
- Credit Card Vendors: Includes individual students, student groups, not-for-profit and commercial organizations soliciting student applications for credit cards (direct mail solicitation of alumni or other non-students are not covered by this policy.)
No clubs or organizations will be allowed to do credit card solicitations as fundraisers on campus.
This policy will become effective July 1, 2005.
