  • 4.0 Policy

    The New York State Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requires New York's public agencies, including campuses of the State University of New York (SUNY), to provide to the public access to records reflective of governmental decisions and policies. The College must make all records available for inspection except those that by law fall within one of nine categories of deniable records under Section 87(2), Article 6 of the New York State Public Officers Law. Individuals receiving a request for records/information under FOIL should forward the original request (letter, email, fax) as soon as possible to the Records Access Officer, c/o Management Services, State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, 101 Broad St. To file a request under FOIL or for more information, please contact the Records Access Officer, 518-564-2539.
