Educational Technology funds come primarily from the students' technology fee. The awarding of these funds is competitive, with the highest priority being placed on initiatives that reach a broad number of students while clearly enhancing and improving the department or division's educational mission in concert with the college's strategic goals.
Initiatives can range from specialized rooms, such as the Chemistry and Biology Labs to specialized software upgrades and the installation of new facilities.
Many of the initiatives become projects for Computing & Media Services. From offering advice on hardware and software to ordering furniture to setting everything up, we try to make the process of "building" a room as quick and simple as possible.
