Computers On Campus
We provide a variety of services to support the use of desktop computers by our students, faculty, and staff.
One such service is computer lifecycle management. The College tries to maintain a 4-5 year cycle for replacement and upgrade of campus owned desktop computers. This means that full-time employees who need such equipment as part of their job can expect to see a new machine at least once every 4-5 years. In labs and classrooms, the cycle is usually 3-4 years due to their patterns of use.
Machines that are replaced are cleaned and recycled to other uses. Some of these recycled machines are placed for use by part-time and temporary staff. Some are also used for special spaces like resource rooms and such.
