Scott is beginning his new role as Director of Recreational Sports in the fall of 2013 after serving as Director of the Angell College Center since 1997. He began working as a professional at the College Center in 1979, and served as Assistant Director of the College Center from 1983 to 1997. He also served as Director of Student Activities from 2004 to 2007.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography in 1979 and a Master of Arts degree in Liberal Studies (Educational Studies, Management Leadership & Health Education) in 1988. In his role as Director of Recreational Sports, Scott oversees the Fitness Center, Memorial Pool, the Intramural Program, eight Sport Clubs, open recreation in Memorial Hall and Sibley Gym, non-credit courses in CPR, lifeguard training and Red Cross instructor training and a youth learn-to-swim program.

Matt Salvatore, Fitnes Center Director, manages all operational aspects of the college’s comprehensive Fitness Center and Climbing Wall Programs. A 1990 graduate of SUNY Brockport, Salvatore received his BS in Physical Education, with a concentration in exercise physiology and adult fitness. He received his MA in Leadership and Administration with a concentration in Management from Plattsburgh State University in 2002. Prior to his appointment in 1994 as SUNY Plattsburgh Fitness Center Director, Matt was a fitness specialist at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY.
Matt is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is certified as a Personal Trainer with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). He is AED, CPR, and First Aid certified as well. He is additionally certified to instruct Spinning classes. Matt teaches classes within the Fitness and Wellness Leadership Major and Personal Trainer Minor in both the classroom and web environment. He also serves as a site supervisor for student interns completing their Personal Training minor requirements. In the fall of 2013, he will be assisting with the recreational sports program with intramurals and recreational hours in Memorial and Sibley.

Earned her BS in Physical Education at SUNY Brockport and MS in Exercise Science at SUNY Cortland. She started at SUNY Plattsburgh as Assistant Fitness Center Director in 2008. In addition she teaches PED271, PED333, is an academic advisor for the Fitness & Wellness Leadership major and serves as advisor for Kickline. In the fall of 2013, she will be assisting with the recreational sports program with intramurals and recreational hours in Memorial and Sibley. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, basketball and softball.

I am from West Nyack, New York and am going into my Junior year. I am a Criminal Justice major going to minor in Psychology. I am a lifeguard, non-credit lifeguard course instructor, and CPR/first aid/AED instructor. I also participate in Army ROTC, Ultimate Frisbee club, and pick-up ice hockey club. In my free time I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, rock climbing, and working out. I will be supervising the lifeguards and working with the CPR program. I am a senior majoring in Communication Disorders and Sciences aspiring to be a Speech-language pathologist. I am a member of the National Student Speech-Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) on campus, which helps raise funds for individuals with speech, language, or hearing needs. I have enjoyed working in Memorial Hall Recreation Center for the past year and am eager to help others in my new role as Recreation Coordinator here at SUNY Plattsburgh.
I graduated from Amsterdam high school in 2010. I was captain of both my baseball and football teams. I'm am a nutrition major minoring in business. I plan on moving out West to good old San Diego, out there I plan on personal training and eventually moving up to a managerial position in a high class gym. I will be working with intramural teams and officials to provide a great program for everyone who participates. I am currently a senior and plan on graduating in the spring of 2014.
