Plattsburgh State - College Catalog
ENG101 - College Writing II (3 to 4 cr.)
Extensive practice in writing and revising through multiple drafts, with the aim of helping students learn to think critically and to produce coherent college-level texts. Readings and writing assignments will vary from section to section, but students will write a minimun of five out-of-class essays (at least 20-25 pages of finished copy), at least one of which will require research and documentation using multiple sources. Students must earn a grade of C (2.0) or better in ENG101 to meet graduation requirements. Special four-credit sections of ENG101 are available for students who speak and write English as a second language. (Fall - Spring - Summer). Liberal arts. Prerequisite: C (2.0) or better in ENG100 or Placement by Examination.
