Using Voice Mail

To Enter the Voice Mail System

1. Dial 7790 (Off-campus, dial (518) 564-7790)
2. Press # at any time during the introduction.
3. Enter your mailbox number.
4. Enter your security code. (If you are using your voice mailbox for the first time, your default security code is 1234567.)

Listening to Messages

From the main menu:

• 5 - Listen to oldest message.
• 1 5 - Listen to newest message.
• 1 9 2 - Listen to saved messages.

While Listening to Messages

• 2 - Back up message.
• 2 2 - Back up to the beginning of message.
• 3 - Erase message.
• 4 - Go forward in a message.
• 5 - Listen to next message.
• 7 - Save message
• 8 - Time/date of the message
• 1 8 - Change volume of message
• * - Pause/resume

Record or Change Greeting

From the main menu:

• 4 - Select greeting
• 5 - Listen to greeting
• 6 - Record new greeting

Before ending recording:

• 2 - Review last few seconds
• 2 2 - Back up to beginning
• 3 - Erase entire greeting
• * - Pause/resume recording
• # - End recording

Change Various Options

From the main menu:

• 2 - Change security code
• 8 - Record name
• # - Back to main menu

Exiting Voice Mail

• 9 9 - End session
• 9 0 - Exit mailbox and make a call
• * - Cancel and continue using mailbox
