Welcome new and returning Students! Below you will find information on our current calling plan, billing, and other service that our office provides.
Calling Plan
- Every on-campus student will receive unlimited local calling and 400 minutes per month for long distance calls (not including international calls). When the 400 minutes are exceeded during the month, a $.05 per minute charge will be incurred. All long distance calls will be billed in one minute increments and any unused minutes during the month WILL NOT be carried forward to the following month.
- The above calling plan is only available to on-campus students for the Fall and Spring semesters. Off-campus students, summer session, and winter session rates will be $.10/minute for long distance calls within the continental United States and $.10 for the first three minutes or less and an additional $.02/minute thereafter for local calls.
Billing
- Telephone bills will be produced on or around the 20th of every month and due by the 15th of the following month.
- Telephone bills will no longer be in paper form, unless requested. E-mails will be sent out once a telephone bill has been produced, so that account information can be reviewed on the Telweb system (https://telweb.cc.plattsburgh.edu ). The Telweb system is a secure site that will allow you to review past and current detailed bills, check the current status of your account, make on-line payments, and to check what the calling rates are to specific telephone numbers.
- On-line credit card payments can be processed through the TELWEB system!
Telephones & Telephone Features
- The Telecommunications Office provides all on-campus students with voice mail, call waiting and caller ID at no additional charge.
- Dial tone will be provided to each dorm room (one telephone jack and number per room), but telephones will not be supplied by SUNY Plattsburgh. Students will be expected to bring their own telephones from home. Cordless telephones will work in the dorms, but please be aware that there may be a heavy concentration of cordless telephone users within the dorm, which will create interferences, cross talk, and allow others to listen in on your conversation.

In order to better serve our subscribers, we have created the Telweb system to allow users to easily access telephone account information from any location.

Our office is located on the lower level of Saranac Hall, underneath the College Bookstore.

Monday - Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Closed on weekends.

Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed on weekends.
